-About Charlie Gaddy

(Winter 1959) Charlie Gaddy working as a page at WRC-TV/NBC Washington, D.C. Giving a tour to school boys.

Charlie's words.....

In those days, NBC pages were dressed like admirals. Double breasted brass buttons and gold braid on left shoulder. Notice the size of the camera and the plaited cable. They represented the three basic colors and the camera mixed them into color TV.

WRC was the first NBC station build from the ground up for color television. It was dedicated in 1956 by U.S. President, Dwight D. Eisenhauer.

I started there in the summer of 1958.
